Odisha CM Naveen inaugurates number of projects in Sundergarh Rourkela: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated a slew of projects during his one-day visit to Sundergarh district on Sunday.

Among the many projects which Patnaik inaugurated included 100-bed Maternity Care Hospital (MCH) building at the Rourkela Government Hospital campus and a Cultural Centre Library. He also unveiled a statue of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar at Udit Nagar area of the Steel City.

The Chief Minister also laid foundation stones for a hockey ground at Bihabandh and two ITIs at Kotra and Koida. This apart, he addressed a gathering during his visit.

The members of Catholic Education Society felicitated the CM for being awarded as the best administrator of the country by a national media house.

Local leaders along with the district collector and Superintendent of Police (SP) were present during the programmes.

Police had detained more than 100 BJP activists for protesting the CM’s visit.
