Odisha CM inaugurates India’s biggest ‘Command Control Center’ in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday inaugurated possibly India’s biggest centralized ‘Command Control Center’ (BOC) at BMC Bhawani Mall in Saheed Nagar here to monitor, operate and control existing services.

There is a massive video wall of more than 100 ft length with 16×2 configuration of 70 inch panels in the state-of-art centre. It shall be used to monitor the large volume of CCTV footage, highly sophisticated sensor data, emergency services, etc.

Sources said that the command centre will keep a close eye on several functions like traffic management, incident management, city surveillance, emergency services, disaster management and much more. Various external modules have been integrated into the system to provide real-time decision support.

This apart, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the Smart Parks at Saheed Nagar and Adaptive Traffic signal Control System (ATCS) at AG Square. Besides, he laid foundation stone for Integrated Public Service Centre (IPSC) at Bapuji Nagar and Sensory Park at Saheed Nagar.

Patnaik inaugurated the projects in the presence of Housing and Urban Development Minister Niranjan Pujari, Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patasani, Bhubaneswar MLA (Central) Bijay Mohanty, Bhubaneswar MLA (North) Priyadarshi Mishra, Smart City Ltd CEO R.Vineel Krishana, BMC Commissioner Krishna Kumar and officials of BDA and Smart City Ltd.
