Bhubaneswar: A 28-year-old software engineer from Odisha was stabbed to death by unknown assailants in a Bengaluru suburb early on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Pranay Mishra of Bhubaneswar. He was working at the Bengaluru branch of Accenture, a global management consulting and professional services company.
According to reports, Mishra was found bleeding profusely after being stabbed repeatedly on a road about a kilometer from his rented house in the city’s upmarket area. Some passers-by rushed him to hospital where he was declared dead. However, no valuable has been taken away by the assailants.
The software engineer was killed while he was on his way to meet his girl friend.
Bengaluru police have contacted the friends he met on Sunday and are scanning his call record details. A murder case has been registered and an investigation is on to find out the reason behind the murder.
