Bhubaneswar: Odia girl Arpita Aparajita Badajena left for Russia on Monday to attend the Youth Exchange Programme being organized by the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.
Badajena is the only Odia to find place in the Indian youth delegation selected by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
The Indian delegates will stay in Russia for ten days and will attend many Youth Exchange Programmes in Moscow and Vladimir. They will discuss subjects like arts, culture, tradition and sports with the Russian delegates.
Arpita, a native of Bhubaneswar, is the current secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha in Odisha. She is involved with many cultural orgainsation since her student days.
She was the general secretary of the students union in Ramadevi Women’s University (RDWU).
Badajena was also the state Karyakarini Member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
