New Delhi: Congress-affiliated National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) won the key posts of President and Vice-president while the ABVP managed to win the posts of Secretary and joint Secretary in the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) polls for the 2017 session.
NSUI’s Rocky Tuseed has been elected the President of DUSU while Kunal Sehrawat has won the post of the Vice-president. ABVP’s Mahamedha became the Secretary while Uma Shankar was elected as Joint Secretary. The ABVP held three posts in the outgoing panel.
The Congress party has hailed the victory of the NSUI in two out of the four major posts in the DUSU polls.

Congress Media-in-Charge Randeep Surjewala tweeted the NSUI win showed that the youth of the country have rejected the false promises of ‘Acche Din’ made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The polls for various posts in the DUSU were held on Tuesday. DUSU has been a straight close contest between ABVP and NSUI for a long time.
