Angul: Unidentified miscreants hacked a petrol pump owner and attacked its manger before looting Rs 4 lakh from the oil outlet at Parang under Nisha police limits in the district yesterday night.
According to reports, three bike-borne miscreants came to the Nayak Fuels petrol pump and attacked its owner Vinod Bihari Nayak with a sharp weapon and looted Rs 4 lakh from him. They also attacked Jitendra Dhal, manager of the oil outlet when he protested their loot bid.
Both Nayak and Dhal have been admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital. They are said to be critical.
Nisha police has begun an investigation into the incident.
