Martyred Odia Jawan’s body recovered, to reach Odisha tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Body of the martyred Odia jawan Pradeep Kumar Panda who died in the exchange of fire between Jaish-e-Muhammad militants and CRPF men at a paramilitary training camp in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir last night has been recovered.

Informing on the development CRPF Commanding Officer said the martyr’s body would be flown back to his native village on Tuesday adding that the security forces faced initial trouble in getting his body due to the ongoing crossfire.

The body was recovered after the third terrorist holed up in the CRPF training camp was gunned down by security forces.

Earlier, family members of the martyred jawan also remained hopeful of his life. His mother said that she could not believe that her son had died.

Pradeep of Liploi village in Sundergarh district fought bravely with the group of terrorists who attacked the training camp last night, teaming up with four fellow jawans of 132 battalion of CRPF and gave highest sacrifice.
