Kendrapara: In a suspected case of illicit love, a hawker sustained critical injury after he was brutally stabbed by the husband of his paramour in Khadianga village under Kendrapara Town Police Station here on Tuesday.
The victim hawker has been identified as Noor Ali, a resident of Kashim Nagar area near Malda of neighbouring West Bengal State.
As per some locals in Khadianga, Noor lived in the village and earned his livings by selling plastic items for past few years. However, one resident Gedu Nayak had started suspecting Noor of having an illicit affair with his wife for past few months. In a fit of rage Gedu reached Noor’s home this morning and attacked him with a sharp knifej and fled away.
Noor, who sustained critical stab injury on his neck was rushed to Kendrapara DHH by some neighbours.
Police have registered a case in the incident and started investigation.
