Talcher: A Hyva driver had an unfortunate death after coming under the wheels of his own vehicle while urinating on the roadside at Baidasahi Square in Hensamul village under Talcher police limits in Angul district on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Sudarshan Samal, a resident of Bhuban village in Dhenkanal district.
Bhuban who resided at the Kamalachhuin village in Angul district and worked as a driver in Sree Sesha Sai Constructions and Projects Private Limited (SCPL) was on his way to deliver a coal consignment this morning when the mishap took place. While, returning to Talcher after loading coal on his Hyva tipper (Registration No. OD 35 7041) the victim stopped his vehicle at Baidasahi Square and went out to attend nature’s call. However, much to his surprise of the victim the Hyva rolled back suddenly and crushed him to death.
Talcher Police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem later in the day.
SCPL drivers resorted to cease work stir in Talcher after the news of Samal’s death spread and it was continuing till this report was being filed.
