Puri: In a bid to promote love and affection for the country on the occasion of the Valentine’s Day, acclaimed sand artist Manas Sahoo created a beautiful sand sculpture on the theme ‘I Love India’ at Puri sea beach here on Wednesday.
Sahoo, who was assisted by five of his students, took 30 hours to build the 17 feet wide sculpture. He used 25 tonnes of sand in the art.
The sand sculpture has been attracting locals and tourists in large numbers. Most of them were seen clicking selfie on the spot.
On the other hand, Sudarsan Pattnaik also created sand sculptures of 108 Shiva Lingas at the beach to mark the Maha Shivaratri celebrations in the state.
