Let’s commit to the goal ‘Water for All’, urges Odisha CM on World Water Day

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik urged the people to commit themselves to the goal ‘Water for All’ on the World Water Day on Thursday.

“On #WorldWaterDay, let’s commit to the goal #WaterForAll by inculcating judicious water use, cutting wastage, recycling & recharging groundwater. Every little action of ours will contribute to preventing water scarcity in present & preserving life-sustaining resource for future,” said Patnaik on his twitter account.

Internationally acclaimed sand artists Sudarsan Pattnaik and Manas Sahoo also built sand arts at golden sea-beach of Puri to create awareness among people on conservation of drinking water.

Sudarsan sculpted his art with a theme “Save water, Save life” while Manas Sahoo’s creation said “Life flows in each drop of water and Save water.”

The World Water Day is celebrated every year on 22nd March to create awareness among people on the importance of conserving freshwater.
