Bhubaneswar: NDA’s Presidential nominee Ramnath Kovind is scheduled to visit Odisha on July 14 to seek support for the upcoming Presidential polls.
Kovind will address the state legislators and Members of Parliament from BJD and BJP at the State Legislative Assembly Conference Hall here in the capital city.
In Odisha, BJD has 117 MLAs and 29 MPs while BJP has 10 MLAs and an MP.
Earlier, the ruling BJD, led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, had declared support for the NDA nominee for the Presidential poll.
The election for the post of President of India will be held on July 17. The Electoral College for the President’s election comprises of the MLAs, elected members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
