KISS celebrates Children’s DayBhubaneswar: Students, teachers and other staff members  of world’s largest tribal residential University Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) celebrated the Children’s Day on Tuesday with pomp and enthusiasm.

As many as 27,000 students of KISS remembered the contribution of first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in nation building today. They also watched the live telecast of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s address at the state-level Children’s Day celebration.

The tribal students also took pledge to become good human beings and do something good for the society and country on the occasion.

“We were so encouraged by the speech of the Chief Minister. Each word of his speech was very touchy. We will definitely follow his advice. We (the 27,000 tribal children), staying in KISS, could also follow his advice to study well, take moral responsibility of our parents and work for the development of our native place, society, state and nation,” said a girl student.KISS celebrates Children’s Day

Dr. Achyuta Samanta, founder of KISS and KIIT, said that the students are the Alpha and Omega of his thoughts and action.

#Children, you are the beginning and end of all my thoughts and action,” said Dr. Samanta in a Facebook post.
