KISS boy Muna Murmu selected for Asian Rugby Championship 2017

RugbyBhubaneswar: Muna Murmu, a Post-graduate student of the city based Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) University, has been selected in the Indian Men’s Rugby XVs team to participate in the Asian Rugby Championship- Divison 2 Rugby XVs – to be held in Taiwan from November 15 to 18.

A total of four countries from across Asia, including Singapore, Thailand, India and host Chinese Taipei, will compete for the Championship.

Besides Muna, other team members include Mohit Khatri, Prince Khatri, Neeraj Khatri, Vikas Khatri, Sourabh Dubal, Deepak Punia, Bhupendra Bokan (all from Haryana), Hitesh Dagar, Bharat Dagar, Mukesh Mankotia, Nitin Dagar, Gautam Dagar, Monu Yadav (all from Delhi), Anand Godiwala, Pappu Todkar (all from Maharashtra) Parvender Singh, Shokendar, Surinder Singh, Sujai Lama Suresh Sajwan, Samser Singh (all services –SSCB), Suraj Prasad, Suraj Veer Sharma (all from West Bengal) and Roshan Lobo (Karnataka).

Munna has been a regular in the national team since last four years.

Founder of KIIT and KISS Dr Achyuta Samanta congratulated Muna for his achievements and wished him and conveyed his best wishes to the Indian team.
