Jammu Tawi-Rourkela Express extended to Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Railway Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu on Saturday flagged off the extension of Rourkela-Jammu Tawi-Rourkela Express up to Sambalpur through video conferencing from Rail Bhawan in New Delhi.
On the inaugural run, the train will run as a special train from Sambalpur Station towards Jammu Tawi at about 1100 hrs (11.00 A.M). However, the regular service in the extended portion will be commenced from 13th August, 2017, according to a release by East Coast Railway (ECoR).
18109 Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi Link Express will leave Sambalpur at 0745 hours every day and reach Jammu Tawi at 1410 hours the next second day. In the return direction, this train will leave Jammu Tawi at 1425 hours every day and reach Sambalpur at 1745 hours on third day, the release said.
On the extended portion, this train will provide stoppages between Sambalpur & Rourkela at Jharsuguda, Bamra and Rajgangpur. The timings and stoppages for this train between Rourkela & Jammu Tawi will remain unchanged.
Parliamentarians Nagendra Pradhan, Dillip Tirkey and MLAs Raseswari Panigrahi, Naba Kishore Das, Dilip Ray, Ramesh Patua, Mangala Kisan, were present at Sambalpur Station on the occasion.
