New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) submitted its final report in the sensational Itishree Pradhan murder case to the Supreme Court on Friday.
The report is in a sealed cover. The apex court said, the hearing of the case will be in February 2018.
The CBI took the Rayagada lady teacher’s murder case following the Supreme Court’s directive in January 2015.
29-year-old Itishree, a contractual teacher at a primary school of Tikiri village in Rayagada district, was set ablaze by an unidentified person in her room in the school premises on October 27, 2013. Six days after the incident, she succumbed to injuries at a private-run-hospital in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
On April 26, 2016, the District Judge and Sessions Court of Rayagada sentenced a former school sub-inspector (SI) Netrananda Dandasena to life imprisonment in connection to the murder case.
