Irregularities in Swargadwar land: Man files criminal case against Puri Tehsildar

Puri: A criminal case was filed against the Puri Tehsildar on Thursday for allegedly not following Supreme Court’s order on the Swargadwar crematorium land grabbing case.

Durga Charan Khuntia filed the case against the Tehsildar at the Puri SDJM court today alleging that he did not follow the order of the apex court.

Khuntia alleged that the Supreme Court, while pronouncing its verdict in the case, had declared the power and order of the Tehsildar, in the case, as void. However, disobeying the court’s ruling, he had issued notice to 51 people and conducted a hearing in the case.
