Indian Women’s Hockey Team Beat Malaysia 3-2 To Enter Asian Champions Trophy Final

Donghae City: Defending champions India entered the final of 5th Women’s Asian Champions Trophy Hockey here on Thursday by beating Malaysia 3-2.

Gurjit Kaur (17′), Vandana Katariya (33′) and Lalremsiami (40′) scored for India while Nuraini Rashid (36′) and Hanis Onn (48′) netted the ball for Malaysia.

This is their third consecutive victory. India, who beat Japan 4-1 and China 3-1 in their previous matches, qualified for the final with a match in hand in their pool.

The Sunita Lakra-led India team is sitting atop the table with nine points and will next take on hosts Korea in their final pool match on Saturday before the final on Sunday.
