Nuapada: Life came to a standstill across Sinapali town following an indefinite bandh call which was given by a union of all youth associations of the area, for the fulfillment of several demands on Tuesday.
During the bandh all shops and business establishments along with government and private offices located in the Sinapali town remained closed.
Similarly, traffic movement on the roads in the town was brought to a grinding halt during the protests held in connection with the bandh. Youth association members staged a road blockade at the Kapsi Square affecting the bus service along Sinapali-Khadial and Sinapali-Dharmagarh to a complete halt and posing a tough time to the commuters.
The strikers are demanding an immediate solution to the frequent undeclared power cuts, acute drinking water shortage along with vexatious and monopolistic attitude of Airtel authorities in Sinapali town.
