Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued thunderstorm alert for five districts of Odisha.
In a press release, the weatherman, based on the latest Doppler Weather Radars and satellite imageries, said that thunderstorm likely to occur over Ganjam, Balasore, Kandhamal, Nayagarh and Mayurbhanj districts between 10 AM and 2 PM.
The thunderstorm is likely to be accompanied with hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 50 to 60 kmph.
