Bhubaneswar: The video and pictures of two girls who were allegedly beaten up by cops in Nayapalli police station recently has gone viral. Alleging police atrocity, the girls had uploaded them on the social media.
On the other hand, the Nayapalli police have refuted the allegation of the girls. They claimed that there was a property dispute between two families some days ago. When police reached the spot, the girls attacked the cops, following which they were arrested and sent to the jail.
However, the girls, who are on an anticipatory bail have claimed the atrocity of the police meted out to them.
Meanwhile, cases have been registered by both the sides.
On the other hand, DGP Rajendra Prasad Sharma said the matter will be investigated and action will be taken against those found guilty.
