Flyover Collapse: Odisha CM meets injured, assures exemplary action

Bhubaneswar: Expressing his deepest condolences over the loss of life in the flyover collapse incident at Bomikhal here earlier in the day, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik promised stringent action against those found guilty after meeting the injured at the Capital Hospital here on Sunday.
Patanik also ordered a high-level probe into the incident.
“I am shocked to learn about the death of one person in the unfortunate incident. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family. I met the injured and discussed with the doctors about their treatment. Two engineers have been suspended and a high level inquiry has been ordered. Exemplary action will be taken against those found guilty,” said Patanik after meeting the injured in the Capital Hospital.
The Chief Minister had earlier announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh for the kin of the deceased and free treatment of the injured.
