Firefighters fish out bodies of 2 drowned minors in Sundargarh

Sundargarh: After around 20 hours of massive search, firefighters fished out bodies of two minor boys from Brahmani river at Lahunipara in the district this morning.

According to reports, firefighters with the help of police and locals had launched a rescue operation in the river after one Sibam Ray and his friend Saurabh Sehjal drowned while taking bath at Tumkela ghat at around 12 PM yesterday.

Meanwhile, a pall of gloom descended on the village following the death of Ray and Sehjal. Police have sent their bodies to the district headquarters hospital for postmortem.

An investigation into the matter also has been started by the cops.
