Kandhamal: Excise sleuths destroyed vast stretches of ganja crop in Balipadar and Pakulada villages under Baliguda Police Station areas in the district on Sunday.
A joint team of Baliguda Excise unit and police led by IIC Satyabrata Rout, Sub Inspector Trupti Ranjan Nayak and conducted the raid in both the villages and torched ganja cultivation of around 54 acres.
Excise sources said the destroyed ganja crop would cost over Rs 5 crore.
