Sambalpur: Dead body of an elderly man was found floating under mysterious circumstance in Chiplima power channel near Burla on Sunday.
The deceased man in his 60s was spotted in complete nude and decomposed state by some locals in the morning. They called up Burla Police and intimated the incident. Police fished out the body from the water and rushed it for autopsy.
While the body could not have been identified yet, police have started investigation in the case. They suspect it to be a case of murder taking into account the circumstantial evidences.
The incident has left people in the area in a state of panic as bodies of two new-borns were also found from the same spot yesterday under similar condition.
