Bhubaneswar: “Education is the key to transformation”, said Chief Minister Naveen Patniak during his visit to Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) on Saturday.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the newly built library cum learning center sponsored by Tata Steel and the new campus of KISS University on this occasion.
Patnaik congratulated the staff, faculty and management of KISS for getting university status. Addressing the students, he said, “KISS is the leading tribal institute in the world. KISS is the pride of Odisha, it will bring more recognition to the state after getting university status.”
“Students, you try to change your family as well as your locality and community,” he advised the students.
Dr. Ahcyuta Samanta, the founder of KIIT & KISS, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for coming to KISS for the first time after the institute was accorded university status.
Among others, Saswati Bal, President, KIIT & KISS; R. N. Dash, Secretary, Prof. Harekrishna Satapathy, VC, KISS University; Julius Lakra, Registrar and other officials were present.
