Dharmendra flags off 11 free mobile medical units

Dharmendra Pradhan Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan flagged off 11 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) here on Sunday.

Pradhan flagged off the MMUs as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and GAIL India.

According to official sources, these MMUs will provide healthcare services at doorsteps in the villages of Odisha.

All 11 MMUs will have a qualified doctor, a nurse, a laboratory technician, a pharmacist, essential medicines and can also function as an ambulance.

These MMUs are GPS enabled so that their movements can be tracked in real time and will cover a range of up to 40 KM from the base location.
