Bhubaneswar: Dr. Chitta Ranjan Tripathy has been appointed as the new vice-chancellor (VC) of the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) here in Odisha.
According to the notification issued by the office of Odisha Governor today, Dr. Tripathy will take charge from Sanjay Kumar Singh, IAS, as the next VC of the premier technical university.
Currently, Dr Tripathy is serving as the vice-chancellor of Sambalpur University in the state.
The BPUT, commenced in 2003, has grown to-day to a big family of 158 colleges and covers all gamut of technical education systems of the country.
