Couple among 4 killed in separate road accidents in Odisha

Keonjhar/Phulbani/Cuttack: A couple among four persons were killed in separate road accidents in Keonjhar, Kandhamal and Cuttack districts of the state on Wednesday.

In the first such incident, a couple identified as Debadat Mishra and Purnasasi Mishra was killed on the spot after the car in which they were traveling overturned at Satkosia ghat near Anandpur in Keonjhar district. Debadat’s son and his driver were also critical due to the accident and have been admitted at Anandpur Sub-Divisional Hospital.

In the second case, a man was killed and three youths were injured when two bikes collided head-on at ITR Chowk in Phulbani this morning. On being informed, local police and fire fighters arrived on the spot and rushed the injured persons to the local hospital. Body of the deceased youth, identified as Akash Kanhar of Pangapaju in Kandhamal district, has been sent to the district headquarters hospital for postmortem.

Likewise, a man, who is yet to be identified, died and ten persons were injured after a passenger bus hit a goods laden truck at Kajalakana Gada in Chowdwar in Cuttack.
