Manas, who was the Congress candidate for Chilika Assembly seat in 2014 election, joined BJD along with Chilika’s Youth Congress president Pabitra Harichandan, Banpur Block’s working president Sudam Charan Barik, General Secretary Akshaya Kumar Mali, Khurda district Secretary Souri Das and more than 1,500 Congress workers.

“I am very happy with the joining of Manas Mangaraj and his supporters in the BJD. With joining of Mangaranj, the BJD will be further strengthened. I welcome them to the party,” said Naveen while speaking to the reporters.

“I joined the BJD as I am inspired with the developmental works undertaken by the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik,” said Mangaraj adding “I will take up whatever responsibility is entrusted on me and work towards strengthening the BJD.”
