Bhubaneswar: Y.B. Khurania, Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, is scheduled to hold an awareness meeting tomorrow (on Friday) to curb the threat posed by the Blue Whale Challenge internet game.

According to sources in the Commissionerate police, Khurania will hold the awareness meeting at 11 am with the authorities of schools, colleges and universities in the Twin City as students are the most vulnerable to the killer game.

While there have been two cases of youth falling victim to Blue Whale Challenge in the Twin City in the last two weeks, the state has reported around ten such cases till date.

An engineering student identified as Swadhin Rout (27) of Sasanpadia area in the Old Town of Bhubaneswar was rescued by Lingaraj police from the clutches of Blue Whale Challenge on Tuesday.

In Cuttack too, the Commissionerate Police had managed to rescue an engineering student, who attempted suicide after falling prey to the deadly internet game, from the CDA area on September 5.
