Bhubaneswar: With a view to boost tourism in Chilika lake, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched a multipurpose recreational harbour at Satapada in Puri district through video conferencing from the Secretariat here on Friday.
Inaugurating the project, the Chief Minister said that the harbour will generate more employment opportunities for the local people apart from boosting tourism and connectivity in Satapada.

The harbour has been built at an estimated cost of Rs 19 crore and can accommodate as many as 200 boats at a time, sources said.
Patnaik also launched Sahid Baji Rout Noujatra Suraksha Yojana for the safety of tourists. Under the scheme, life jackets, fire extinguishers and other facilities will be provided to the boat passengers.
