Bhubaneswar: Multi-crore Chit fund scam accused and Seashore Group of Companies chief Prashant Dash was released from Jharpada Special Jail here on Friday.
Dash walked out of the jail after being granted bail in eight cases registered by CBI and Crime Branch at different stages.
In 2013, Dash was arrested by the crime branch sleuths from Mumbai for allegedly duping Rs 578.20 crores from thousands of investors across the state.
However, the investigation of the case was handed over to CBI following a Supreme Court order. Since then Dash had been lodged at the Jharpada jail in the State capital.
