Berhampur: Chhatrapur SDJM court on Tuesday permitted the Ganjam district police to take two key conspirators of Chhatrapur Councilor Laxmidutta Pradhan murder on a 6-day remand.
The Ganjam district police will take the two prime conspirators Krushna Chandra Nayak, a BJP leader, and Duryodhan Reddy on remand from tomorrow to interrogate over the killing of BJD Councillor.
A special squad of the Ganjam district police had arrested the duo from Uttarakhand on October 27.
Sources said, police is likely to question them mostly over the involvement of politicians in the crime as they had earlier confessed Odisha BJP spokesperson Golak Mohapatra’s hand behind their escape soon after the crime on September 16.
