BJP to observe November 8 as ‘Anti-Black Money Day’

Arun JaitleyNew Delhi: BJP will observe 8th November as Anti- Black Money Day across the country to highlight anti-graft steps taken by the central government, informed senior BJP leader and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday.

Speaking to media persons at the BJP’s headquarters here, Jaitley said all senior party leaders and Union Ministers will participate in events countrywide on November 8 to highlight the steps taken by the Modi government as to tackle the black money.

The move came a day after the Opposition said it will observe November 8 as a ‘Black Day’ in protest against the government’s demonetisation exercise.

On 8th November last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced demonetization of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 currency notes as a part of government’s anti-black money drive.
