Union P&NG Minister Dharmendra Pradhan came down heavily on the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Odisha over its aggressive stand on the issue of special category status to the State, saying the party is only shedding crocodile tears.
Addressing the reporters in New Delhi today, Mr. Pradhan said it did not make sense for the BJD MPs to stage a walkout on the last day of the Parliament just to make their presence felt.
“Odisha is one of the few States that got benefited the most from the 14th Finance Commission. Naveen Babu knows the truth. He is the one who praised the Railway budgets four times. Now to hide his own failure and inefficiency, he is trying to put up a volt face”.
