Bhubaneswar: The BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday revoked the suspension order on senior party leader and Banki MLA Pravat Tripathy.
Tripathy was suspended from the ruling BJD on October 31, 2014, minutes after being arrested by the CBI in connection to his alleged link with the multi-crore Artha Tatwa chit fund scam.
However, the legislator was granted bail from the Orissa High Court on March 3, 2015.
“I am grateful to BJD President Naveen Patnaik for the decision,” said Tripathy after the suspension order was revoked.
“I have been working for the all-round development of the people of Banki assembly segment even though I was suspended from the party. I will now work for the people with more enthusiasm,” he added.
