Bijepur by-poll on Feb 24, Counting of votes on Feb 28

New Delhi: The Election Commission of India has finally declared date for the much awaited by-election for the Bijepur assembly constituency in Bargarh district of Odisha.

The by-poll will be held on February 24 while the counting of votes will be held on February 28.

A total of 221149 voters will cast their franchise at 270 booths for the poll.

The by-poll has been necessitated due to the untimely demise of three-time Congress MLA Subal Sahoo in August last year.
