Bhubaneswar: Raising serious security concern among the students of Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in the city, a +2 Second Year girl student was rushed to hospital in critical condition yesterday, after she was drugged by some classmates and then allegedly filmed naked.
As per the FIR filed by the victim’s father at the Kharavel Nagar Police Station here, the girl was found sick and vomited repeatedly, soon after returning from college on Monday. After her family members enquired about the incident, the girl said she fell unconscious in the college after eating a few chocolates offered by some classmates. She also alleged that they filmed her naked after taking to a secluded room in the college.
The girl was immediately rushed to the Unit-3 hospital in critical condition by her family members and then shifted to Capital Hospital in the city at a later stage. She is now in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.
Claiming that spiked candies were given to her, the victim’s father has demanded a high-level inquiry into the incident. He added, that his daughter named a student of the college namely Sameer Ranjan Mohanty as the main accused in the incident claiming that he had prepared nude videos of a number of girls in the past and made those viral at the later stage.
