BCJD claims 95% win in Students Union PollBhubaneswar: The Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) on Saturday claimed 95% of its candidates emerged victorious in the students’ union poll in colleges and universities in Odisha which was held earlier today.

They also rejected the ‘Note for Vote’ allegations in Ramadevi Women’s University saying the rivals were rattled as BJD-backed candidates won hands down in student polls.

Victorious candidates and their supporters celebrated the moment with bike rallies and fireworks in their campuses across the state.

In Ramadevi Women’s University, BJD-backed candidate Soubhagya Soumyashree Samal came out on top for the post of president while the BJD-backed candidates – Rajat Kumar Parida, Punyabrata Das and Subhendu Kumar Amat triumphed in Rajdhani College, Jagatsinghpur SVM College and Angul Autonomous College respectively.

Likewise, BJD-backed candidate Santosh Barik was elected President of Athgarh Gopabandhu College.

The campus poll was cancelled at many prominent colleges and universities of the state after pre-poll violence erupted in the campuses.
