Bhubaneswar: IPS officer Anup Sahoo took charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Bhubaneswar on Monday.
Sahoo, who was the Superintendent of Police of Bhadrak district, took the charge in the presence of his predecessor Satyabrat Bhoi and other senior police officials.
“I will do my best to maintain law and order in the city. Besides, give importance for the safety of women, VVIPs and crime control,” said Sahoo while speaking to the newsmen soon after assuming the charge from Satyabrat Bhoi.
Bhoi, who was promoted to the rank of deputy inspector-general (DIG) recently, has been posted as DIG Northern Range.
