Air India suspends Bhubaneswar-Bangkok direct flight till Sept 30

Bhubaneswar: Air India suspended its direct flight service from Bhubaneswar to Bangkok in Thailand till September 30 starting from today due to operational reasons, informed Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) Director Suresh Chandra Hota here on Monday.

The Air India had started its maiden Bhubaneswar-Bangkok flight on December 10, 2017. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had flagged off the first flight operation at the BPIA in the city.

The national carrier of the country was operating on every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday in a week.

Currently, Air Asia operates daily flights connecting Bhubaneswar with Kuala Lumpur.

The BPIA had got the international tag on October 31, 2010.
