4 shops looted in Dhenkanal village

Dhenkanal: Burglars looted goods worth over Rs 50,000 breaking open the doors of at least four shops in Tumusingha village near Kamakhyanagar area in the district last night.

The incident came to fore after some locals spotted locks of the shops of Suryakant Sahu, Pradeep Sahu, Premanand Nayak and Nandakishore Sahu located at the village square broken today morning. They took the matter to the notice of the shop owners immediately after which the latter reached the spot and made an assessment of the stolen items.

Along with goods worth over Rs 50,000, cash was also found missing from the shops during the assessment.

Tumusingha Police have reached the spot and started investigation into the incident.
