Nayagarh: In a development in the Nayagarh viral sex video case, Khandapada Police succeeded in arresting four more accused after conducting raids at different locations in the district on Monday.
The arrestees have been identified as Lipun Nayak, Rabi Raut, Tapan Das and Samir Mantri. All are aides of the main accused Pabitra Nayak, who is under police’s custody.
Informing on the arrests at a press conference, Nayagarh SP Ashish Kumar Singh said, police raided the hideouts of the accused based on the information provided by Nayak during his interrogation and arrested them. The arrested accused first shared the objectionable visual among them on social media and later made it viral.
The arrested accused have been forwarded to court, he added.
The main accused Nayak, a Plus III second year boy filmed his intimate moments with a Plus II first year girl who happened to be his lover in Gokulananda Tourism Centre in Sidhamula village on February 17. He later shared the video with four of his friends, who played a crucial role in making the video viral on March 8 on International Women’s Day creating a ruffle.
