Bhubaneswar: In a major breakthrough, Commissionerate Police on Wednesday arrested four armed bike-borne miscreants who were active in snatching in the city road during night hour.
On a reliable tip off, cops conducted raid and arrested the accused persons and seized many articles from their possession.
The miscreants have been identified as Manas Kumar Barik (22) of Satyanagar Area, P. Keshu Ready (23) of Jagannath Basti, Unit-III, Bipin alias Bikram Das (19) of Satya Nagar and Priyo alia Sonu alias Rosan Kumar Jena (19) of Satya Nagar.
A TVS Apache bike, a Honda Activa scooty, five gold finger rings, two knives and as many as 35 mobile phones were recovered from their possession.
Several number of cases had earlier been lodged against these four at different police stations of the city in connection to snatching, the police said.
