Cuttack: Puri Ghat police in the city arrested three looters and recovered some stolen gold ornaments and cash from their possession on Tuesday.
One Sanjay Nayak of Matha Sahi under Puri Ghat police limits had filed an FIR on Sunday alleging theft of gold ornaments and some cash from his house.
Based on Nayak’s complaint, police had initiated an investigation into the matter and arrested three robbers whom it identified as Sanjeev Naik (27), Chemada alias Manoj Naik (20) and Deepak Raj (25) today.
Cops also recovered one gold each necklace, mangalasutra, silver coin, eight pieces of ear rings and two gold bangles also with Rs 2000.
As many as six cases are pending against the trio at different police stations in the Millennium City.
