Balasore: At least three persons were killed when an ‘102’ Janani Express ambulance, carrying a pregnant woman, was hit by a speeding truck on NH-16 at Barungadia square in Balasore district late on Monday night.
The deceased were identified as the husband and uncle of the pregnant woman and an ASHA worker.
According to reports, the accident took place when the ambulance, carrying the pregnant woman, identified as Sumitra Dalei (20) and five other relatives, was hit by a speeding truck from behind.
