Nayagarh: At least 20 minor students of Pathanisamanta Sishu Sikshya Mandir were injured when the school bus carrying them overturned near Mahangapalli vallage in Nayagarh district today. At least 10 of them were critically injured in the mishap.
All the injured students, aged around 8- 10 years, were admitted to the Nayagarh District Headquarters Hospital.
The bus driver, who was carrying around 40 minor students in the bus, was allegedly busy talking on his mobile phone when the accident occurred, the students informed the police.
However, the bus driver managed to flee from the spot unhurt.
A case has been registered against the bus driver at Nayagarh Police station.
