Puri: Two students from Sambalpur University went missing while taking bath with two other friends at the beach here on Friday. The lifeguards have launched a search operation to rescue the missing students.
The missing students have been identified as Jadumani Bachha, a student of Bikash School of Management in Kalahandi district, and Aakash Xaxa, a student of Rourkela Ispat College.
The Students, representing Sambalpur University in an Inter-University cricket tournament in Bhubaneswar visited the pilgrim city as there was no match scheduled for today.
Out of eight student cricketers, four had drowned in the sea water at Chaitnya Ghat while taking bath but the lifeguards managed to rescue only two students- Nikhil Padhi, a student of Bargarh Vikash College and Ritik Jain of Kalahandi district.
