Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, two minor brothers died after downing in a pond at Kakarudrapur Jenasahi under Balianta police limits on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar city on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Soumya Ranjan Parida and his younger brother Smruti Ranjan Parida.
According to sources, Smruti slipped into the water and drowned while taking bath in the pond. Soumya dived into the water body to save his brother but unfortunately met the same fate.
Fire fighters fished out the bodies of the two siblings. A pall of gloom descended in the locality following the sad demise of the two children.
